We incorporated Moonbridge Alliance as a family foundation in honor of our mothers, Nancy and Kathleen, and all mothers everywhere, to build a bridge of peace from Asia to the Americas. Frank and Nancy Yih, long-time Rotarians, have dedicated their lives to service with the Hua Qiao Foundation in Hong Kong and the Guo Feng Foundation in Shanghai, China. Their son, Jeff Yih, and his wife Rachel, have made a commitment to continue the spirit of giving, embodied by their loving mothers, through a charitable foundation in the USA. Frank and Nancy's foundation, Hua Qiao, means "Overseas Bridge" or "Overseas Person." A moonbridge is an arched bridge invented in China, centuries ago, which makes the shape of a full moon when reflected in the water. Strong and graceful like our mothers, with the moon serving as an enduring symbol of womanhood, a moonbridge provides a vital connection and endures the test of time.
